“ Ever since I was a little girl...

I knew I wanted to be on the computer a lot.”

Hi there!! My name is Sarah, I’m a freelance journalist with experience in print, web, radio, and tv. I was a previous CBC intern and did marketing and social media at the 2023 Canadian Western Agribition show. I have bylines in CBC, This Magazine and Briarpatch magazine. Recently, I've just finished my undergraduate degree in journalism and am working as an associate producer for CBC Saskatchewan’s The Morning Edition.

I’m passionate about stories revolving around culture, politics, and social activism. I’m currently looking to gain new experiences while telling stories about the everyday lives of people of colour, pop culture, and the way we live. I love writing, photography and social media and bringing these things together in my work is a passion I am always working towards.

my experience

I have been working in radio professionally for over a year. I currently associate produce for a radio show where I edit audio, write scripts, and build the show lineup.

I have a background in marketing and social media both personally and professionally. I have executed several marketing plans and been responsible for content management and executing weekly Instagram stories on platforms with 1000+ viewership.

My experience in print involves article writing and editing for myself and other’s in the newsroom. I have several written and published pieces in which I have been involved in both sides of the production.
